Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a global leader in cybersecurity and application delivery solutions, has announced the launch of its new LLM Firewall, a first-of-its-kind solution designed to protect organisations as they adopt and integrate large language model (LLM) technology.
Released as an add-on to all tiers of Radware’s Cloud Application Protection Services, the LLM Firewall is the first component of the company’s broader agentic AI security strategy. It is engineered to safeguard LLM prompts and responses from attacks, abuse, and model exploitation an increasingly urgent challenge as enterprise applications incorporate generative AI features at scale.
According to Constance Stack, Radware’s Chief Growth Officer, many businesses remain hesitant about wider AI adoption due to data security, regulatory, and system integrity concerns.
“Organizations are rightfully cautious,” Stack said. “Radware’s new LLM Firewall is built on the premise that AI security must be enforced at the prompt in order to defend against prompt injection, jailbreaks, and resource abuse. Think of it as a WAF for LLMs but instead of guarding against HTTP exploits, it helps mitigate natural language attacks specific to LLM behaviour.”
The LLM Firewall uses real-time, AI-driven analysis to stop threats before they reach the underlying model. It is fully model-agnostic, allowing seamless integration with any enterprise AI stack without disrupting existing workflows or innovation pipelines.
A key capability of the solution is its ability to detect and block attempts to extract personally identifiable information (PII) before the prompt reaches the customer’s LLM. This helps organisations minimise data exposure risks and maintain compliance with global regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection frameworks.
The solution also aligns with the 2025 OWASP Top 10 Risks and Mitigations for LLMs and GenAI Applications, addressing emerging threats unique to AI-enabled systems.
