
SMHCC appoints new general manager for Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo
Radenta Technologies will host the first Vantiq AI Summit in the Philippines on July 8 and 9 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, aiming to showcase real-time AI applications in healthcare, public safety, and smart cities.
The two-day summit will bring together global AI leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals for live demonstrations and real-world use cases. Admission is free for selected industry representatives, with early registration encouraged.
Vantiq, a California-based software platform with offices in London, Tokyo, and Seoul, enables the rapid development of real-time, event-driven enterprise applications. Its AI-powered platform is used in sectors including healthcare, energy, defense, cybersecurity, and telecommunications.
Dr. Ryan Vega, Vantiq’s chief health officer and a former innovation chief at the U.S. Veterans Health Administration, will speak on July 8. His session will explore how AI can improve healthcare delivery by modernizing systems and automating workflows. Vega currently holds academic roles at Georgetown University and George Washington University and serves as Physician in Residence for the Digital Medicine Society.
On July 9, Steve Cercone, a Vantiq advisory board member and former California police chief, will lead a session on public safety. He will highlight how AI tools enhance real-time decision-making and predictive maintenance in law enforcement and emergency response. Cercone is also the founder of Safe Cities Global and serves as global public safety lead for the Smart Cities Council.

The summit will conclude with a talk from Sameer Bhandari, Vantiq’s vice president for business development in the Asia-Pacific region. Bhandari will discuss smart city innovations, emphasizing AI-enabled urban infrastructure and integration strategies. He has represented Vantiq at regional forums such as the Sydney Digital Twin Built Summit and continues to work on AI deployment in public services and infrastructure.
