Quantum cybersecurity firm Quantum eMotion uplists to NYSE American (QNC) for U.S. investor access. Shares fell 14.8% on debut as the pre-revenue company pursues global multi-exchange strategy.
Quantum eMotion, a Montreal-based developer of quantum cybersecurity technology, has successfully uplisted to the NYSE American exchange. Trading commenced on February 24, 2026, marking a strategic move to gain direct access to U.S. institutional and retail investors. The initial market reception, however, proved volatile.
The company’s shares now trade on the NYSE American under the ticker symbol “QNC,” which it also uses on Canada’s TSX Venture Exchange. This listing supersedes its previous quotation on the OTCQB market, a less regulated platform for smaller companies. Quantum eMotion maintains its concurrent listings on the TSX Venture Exchange and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol “34Q0.”
The uplisting process was managed by Yorkville Securities. Regulatory groundwork was finalized earlier in the year, with the company filing its Form 40-F with the SEC on January 22 and receiving official approval from the NYSE on February 19.
The debut was met with selling pressure. On the TSX Venture Exchange, shares closed at CAD $5.18 on February 25, representing a single-day decline of 14.8% from the previous close of CAD $6.08. The day’s trading range spanned from CAD $5.00 to CAD $6.07. Over the preceding 52-week period, the stock has traded between CAD $0.49 and CAD $6.24.
This three-exchange structure — NYSE American in U.S. dollars, TSX Venture in Canadian dollars, and Frankfurt in euros — is designed to enhance liquidity across different time zones and investor bases. The long-term success of this approach is closely tied to the company’s ability to begin generating revenue.
Financially, Quantum eMotion remains a pre-revenue enterprise. It reported a net loss of CAD $7.71 million, with available cash reserves of CAD $24.71 million. The company’s market capitalization stands at approximately CAD $1.1 billion. Its return on equity is -59.37%, with a return on total capital of -36.94%. The public float consists of roughly 211 million shares.

The firm’s flagship product is a patented Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) intended for integration into cybersecurity solutions. The NYSE American listing provides U.S. investors with direct exposure to Quantum eMotion on a major, regulated U.S. exchange. Whether this uplisting will attract sustained institutional capital depends largely on the company’s progress in commercializing its products and recording its first sales.
