Today would have marked day four of the Ashes test, but instead, thousands of English cricket fans remain in WA with time on their hands. Here’s how prominent West Aussies recommend they spend their time.

They should take the opportunity to get out to Rotto, Wadjemup. But if they’re going to have a couple of days, then obviously head down to Margaret River or up to Geraldton. These places are amazing at this time of the year, and I’m sure that they’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of the great wines, much better and colder beer, and really just enjoy some great cuisine as well.
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch
Two of my favourite things would be my recommendation. The first one is, I’ll definitely give them an application to join the WA Police Force if they’ve got actual time on their hands. And the second one is to go and have a sausage at Bunnings.
Opposition Leader Basil Zempilas
The Army need to hit the driving range up at the Wembley Golf Course in the heart of the Churchlands electorate. Get some of that two-day frustration out by whacking a bucket of balls out over the glorious green expanse while taking in the magnificent Perth City skyline. Then to make them feel at home they can wash it all down with a pint at 300 Acres Restaurant and Bar. It’s the perfect pick-me-up.
West Coast defender Reuben Ginbey
It’s a great opportunity to head down south to the Dunsborough and Margaret River area, elite wineries and waves. Just watch out for the men in grey suits whilst you are down there and you will be sweet.
Radio personality and STM columnist Nat Locke
I would suggest they go to Jurien Bay, Freo and Mandurah to check out Green Head, Rous Head and Halls Head so they can see that not all Heads in Australia are out to destroy them.
