Prince William was heckled over his uncle Andrew and Andrew’s links to Jeffrey Epstein during a visit to Helston on St Piran’s Day
A man was booed by a crowd when he confronted Prince William over his uncle Andrew’s links to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while on a St Piran’s Day visit to Cornwall.
The Duke of Cornwall was in Helston speaking to children and members of the public outside Helston Community Fire Station when one man shouted at the Prince about his uncle the former Prince Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his connection to the American financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The man shouted: “How long have you known about Andrew, how long have you known about Andrew?” He was booed by the crowd over his challenge.
Prince William did not respond to the jibes and walked the other way before leaving Helston and finishing his visit to Cornwall.
The Duke had been in Cornwall on a double public engagement first at Gear Farm on the Lizard Peninsula, famous for its pasties, where the Prince tried his hands at making pasties and taking orders from customers.

It was after his second engagement speaking to firefighters and police about how they dealt with the chaos from Storm Goretti that he was heckled.
Storm Goretti brought winds measured at over 120mph, causing widespread devastation across Cornwall. Over a thousand trees were uprooted or broken causing devastation to woodlands and wildlife, blocking roads and cutting off some communities.
Around 121, 000 people in Cornwall lost electricity during the peak of the storm that week, with thousands still experiencing outages days later.
South West Water said 11,000 people were disconnected from the water supply after a large tree was uprooted by the gale force winds.
Many homes, including in Helston, were left without power for days, some infrastructure was damaged while many National Trust properties and some of Cornwall’s historic gardens have been decimated.
One man died when a large tree crashed onto his caravan near the town.
Prince William was meeting young children, parents and local residents after his visit when the heckling took place.
The prince did not respond and walked the other way before leaving shortly afterwards.
It is understood that the heckler who made the comments was spoken to by a member of William’s team and by police afterwards.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office and for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Epstein when he was a UK trade envoy.
The allegations stem from documents released by the US justice department relating to Epstein and his links to the rich and powerful.
