Prachuap Khiri Khan province has approved a new public relations plan aimed at improving awareness and understanding of key government policies among local residents.
The Provincial National Public Relations Plan for the 2026 fiscal year was endorsed during the first meeting of the year of the Provincial Subcommittee on National Public Relations, held on 16 February at the Bang Nang Rom Meeting Room in the old Provincial Hall.
The meeting was chaired by Petty Officer First Class Sakorn Sittisak, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Those in attendance included Ms Nalin Makachern, Provincial Public Relations Officer; Ms Somawadee Anekwarangkul, Acting Director of the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan; and representatives from relevant government agencies.
Officials reviewed the draft Provincial National Public Relations Plan and related projects proposed by the Provincial Public Relations Office and the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan. The initiatives are designed to align with the national-level action plan and to ensure consistent communication across departments.
The public relations plan focuses on raising domestic awareness across five main areas: the economy; society and culture; natural resources and the environment; security and political governance; and public administration.
In addition, the plan outlines communication strategies covering 17 principal issues, 34 sub-issues and four key foreign affairs topics. The aim is to provide clear and coordinated information to residents about the government’s policy priorities and ongoing programmes.
The meeting formally approved the Provincial National Public Relations Action Plan for the 2026 fiscal year. The plan will now be submitted to the Public Relations Department, which serves as the secretariat of the National Public Relations Committee.
Provincial officials said the move is intended to integrate communication efforts across agencies and to ensure that local communities receive accurate and timely information about government policies that affect their daily lives.
