The Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy (IFAU) invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position in labour economics. The postdoc will be considered for a permanent research position at IFAU following evaluation. The appointment starts in September 2026 or as agreed.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will conduct independent research within IFAU’s areas of interest; labour, education and social insurance. You will have access to high-quality Swedish administrative microdata and freedom to pursue your own research agenda. The position does not include teaching obligations.
IFAU is a government research institute based in Uppsala, Sweden, with around 50 employees. IFAU evaluates labour market, education, and social insurance policies, and conducts cutting-edge policy-relevant research in labour economics. We have close ties with the Department of Economics at Uppsala University and offer a stimulating research environment in a creative and collegial setting.
