
Police are on the hunt for a “large black dog” that reportedly attacked a teenager, biting her on the face. The 17-year-old was allegedly mauled in an alley off Mount Road, Staffordshire, around 1.45pm yesterday afternoon, November 24, reports the Express.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “We are appealing for information after a girl suffered bite injuries from a dog in Blythe Bridge. Officers were called shortly before 2pm today to Mount Road following reports of a dog loose in the area.”
“A 17-year-old girl had been bitten on the face by the dog, in an alleyway near the recreation ground, at around 1.45pm. The animal, described as a large black dog, then ran off in an unknown direction.
“The victim made her own way to hospital. Officers are currently searching the area and our inquiries are continuing. Anyone with information, or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage should contact us.”
