A person has suffered serious injuries after being bitten by a dog on a popular Welsh beach. Officers are currently attempting to trace the animal’s owner.
The incident occurred at approximately 4.30pm on Wednesday, 28 January at Llanon beach, Cardigan Bay.
A person received a severe and deep laceration to their elbow as a consequence of the incident. Dyfed-Powys Police has released a description of the owner in the hope someone will provide information.
The owner is described as a male in his late 40s. He is white and was dressed in blue jeans, trainers and a blue zip-up hoodie, reports Wales Online. He is described as having short brown hair, no facial hair and having a Welsh accent.

A spokesman for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses or any information following a serious dog bite on a person, which occurred around Llanon beach at 4.30pm yesterday Wednesday, January 28.
“The victim sustained a serious injury to their elbow whereby the skin has been cut deeply. Description of the dog owner: Male appeared to be in his 40s, white. Wearing blue jeans, trainers and a blue zip up hoodie. Short brown hair with no facial hair and a Welsh accent.
“Description of dog: Big black dog that was similar to a bulldog but much bigger. Dog was on a lead. If you have any information that might help our investigation, please get in touch.”
