Technical updates include the MINNET migration for 500,000 users, new node software and an extended .pi domain auction.
On June 28, 2025, PI Network presented two ecosystem tools as part of his PI2Day 2025 event. The updates include PI App Studio and Ecosystem Directory Staking, both of which are now live. The company shared the updates on its official X-account @Picoreteam.
Pi App Studio is a AI-based NO code platform that enables users to create apps with written instructions. Ecosystem Directory Staking is a utility that users can use to use PI-tokens to improve the app ranking in the PI browser. These functions expand the PI Network ecosystem and offer additional blockchain tools for users and companies.
Pi App Studio enables people to create apps without programming knowledge. Users can enter text instructions and the platform generates the logic of the app. The tool contains two functions. First of all, users can create topic-specific AI chatbots. These bots provide answers based on the creator’s entries.
Second, the platform contains a beta version of an open-end builder. Users can describe what an app should do and the backend creates them automatically. Pi Network explained:
“The creation of apps via Pi App Studio therefore means that you are able to own and lead a company and a product that is completely based on your knowledge and ideas.”
The tool works within the blockchain infrastructure of PI Network. The team confirmed that the beta access for the open builder is gradually introduced. The PI App Studio is now available in the PI browser.
The second feature Ecosystem Directory Staking offers users the opportunity to advertise apps by staking PI token. This system replaces centralized ad models and arranges apps according to the entire PI that was used for you.
Users can support apps that prefer them. The more PI is used, the higher the app is displayed in the directory. The Pi Network team said:
“This also aims to make apps better known that are of higher quality and enable a meaningful commitment to the community.”
The staking system is now active in the PI browser. It changes the way users discover apps by linking the visibility with PI-Staking activities.
Together with these two functions, PI Network has published an updated version of its node software. The company said this improves network operation and system performance.
There were also changes in the Mainnet migration. The new process included over 500,000 users. The update aims to simplify switching to the Mainnet for those who are still waiting for migration.
These upgrades support the larger structure of the PI network and improve access for a wider user base.

The auction for .pi-domaname now runs until September 30, 2025. Users can continue to register names that end. Pi during this period. The expansion enables greater participation, although no price details have been updated.
PI Network also confirmed the integration of a Fiat-on-Ramp aggregator. The tool helps users bring Fiat currency into the ecosystem without keeping other cryptocurrencies. This system improves the participation of newcomers.
In order to familiarize the users with the new tools, Pi Network has launched the Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge. It offers digital rewards for the use of functions in the PI mining app. Users can join the app and do assigned tasks.
The challenge is part of the program of the PI2Day 2025. It supports interaction with PI App Studio, Ecosystem Directory Staking and the updated browser tools.
