Pi Network was published in 2019 by Stanford graduates. They are attempting to open cryptocurrency to all people. To mine the Pi coins, one does not have to have the powerful computers. All you need is a phone and Pi app. In September 2025, Pi Network has an excess of more than 50 million users. The project is still yet to reach the testing stage. The team is also trying to introduce the mainnet, which will be introduced in the year 2026. This is the period during which they are experimenting with smart contracts and systems of transactions.
The decentralized Islamic bank is known as the SidraBank that boasts of being the first bank of its kind in the world. They possess a system, which complies with the Islamic law and especially the banning of interest. PI Network contracted with SidraBank in August 2025. This is due to the fact that it will integrate the two systems. SidraBank experiments with the Sidra Coins and Pi coins. It is targeting quick, asset-based, and interest-free exchanges. In 2028, this alliance would also gain access to 7.5 trillion Islamic finance market. It is a substitute to the conventional banks that will bring in an interest.
The Pi Nexus Autonomous Banking Network is one of the elements of this vision. It is a project that concerns blockchain and AI. The idea is simple. Artificial intelligence will be used to check transactions and resources. It reduces human work force. It is premature testing that is ambitious but unprepared. Also, it is a worldwide developer by way of GitHub. Hopefully, such a system will be able to work without the large banks. It would help in empowering more individual users. But experts remain cautious. Quantum computing has not been supported.
