Bitcoin could reach $120,000-$150,000 in 2025, yet a market top with a subsequent 50% decline remains possible, according to technical analyst Peter Brandt.
He grounded his forecast in Bayesian probability. In this case he meant a random event over a sufficiently large sample, informed by his experience.
“Do I hedge my bets? […] Of course. Awareness of risks is the result of a 50-year trading career,” he concluded.
Earlier, Brandt described mid-January bitcoin price action as a “knife fight”. The chart he presented suggested the possibility of a drop to $74,100 as well as a rise to a new ATH around $116,600.
Separately, Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee called $90,000 a good entry point into bitcoin.
The analyst known as Rekt Capital noted the correction had ended after bitcoin closed the day above support at $91,000.
