Pete Wicks has shared a one-word message as he was seen with Jowita Przystal ahead of her Strictly Come Dancing return.
The new series of the BBC One dance contest is edging closer to airing, and the professional dancer may find herself with a new celebrity dance partner after being paired with the reality star and podcast host last year.
Fans of the hit show will recall that the pair took part in the 2024 run of the competition, where they made it all the way to the semi-final.
They departed the competition during week 12, leading them to missing out on a place in the final, as they landed in the dance-off for the first time alongside eventual finalists Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec.
But while they may not have lifted the Glitterball together, with that honour instead going to winners Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, the pair’s friendship has remained.
And Pete seems to have teased fans as he was seen back in the Strictly stars’ main rehearsal room with Jowita as preparations continue for the 2025 series.
Sharing a black and white snap of the pair to his Instagram Story, the 36-year-old simply teased: “Reunited [eyes emoji] @jowitaprzystal,” and when resharing the post, Jowita only added a white heart emoji.
It comes as Pete has once again been heard speaking about his time on Strictly, with one of his best pals, Vicky Pattison, set to take part in this year’s show.
In a new interview, Pete spoke about how he has realised just how “mad” the experience was now he has stepped away from the dance floor, telling Heat magazine: “I’ll be talking about it until I’m 80.
“When you’re in the midst of it, you’re consumed by routines and all sorts of f****** stuff, so it’s only when we get the chance to reflect, you go, ‘F***, what a mad thing.'”
As mentioned, Pete’s friend, former Queen of the Junlge Vicky, is taking part in the upcoming series of Strictly and the former The Only Way Is Essex star has urged her and the other celebrities taking part to “listen” to their professional partner.
He said: “My advice to anyone who’s going on is to listen to your partner. I was so blessed, and so to have Jowita – I wouldn’t have got anywhere near as far as I got without her. She’s one of my best mates and one of the most important people in my life.
“Having the chance to learn something new from someone who’s world-class is an honour. I’m looking forward to being in the audience and not dancing this year.”
