Police dog and handler called in to help after a man ran from officers
A ‘persuasive’ police dog helped catch a suspect after scaling a fence. A man wanted by police ran from officers from the Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele team.
Police dog Arlo and his handler was on the scene to assist with the chase.
They tracked the suspect to a large fence. Using teamwork they were able to scale the fence along with Arlo.
He then located the man who was hiding in bushes.
The North Wales Police Dog team said: “PD Arlo was on hand on Thursday night to assist colleagues in NWP Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele after a male wanted for a number of offences ran from officers. PD Arlo and handler tracked to a large fence which they couldn’t scale.
“After some great teamwork getting over the fence PD Arlo located the male hiding deep within bushes. After great teamwork and containment by all, the male had no choice but to surrender! PD Arlo was very happy with the arrest! What a good lad.”
