Going beyond data management, Personal AI lays the groundwork for a “personal agent” era in which AI autonomously interprets user data and creates actionable insights.
Delivering Secure, Personalized Data Use and Monetization Through “my:D”
In August 2025, Personal AI changed its name from “SNPLab” and it offers “my:D,” an on-device-based MyData trading platform service. Founded in December 2019, the company has raised a total of KRW 2.83 billion in funding to date. MyData refers to the concept that individuals, rather than companies or platforms, should have control over their personal data. Therefore, the goal of the MyData industry is to allow individuals to share their personal data with third parties based on their own decisions.
Personal AI’s “my:D” platform is an on-device data trading platform designed for both individuals and enterprises. Through the my:D app, users can connect data generated in daily life, including financial, health, insurance, shopping, and search history data, and directly decide whether to grant companies access to that data when requested. my:D assists users to safely provide their daily data in exchange for rewards, effectively transforming data into a personal asset, while allowing enterprises to obtain data securely and efficiently.
All data is stored exclusively on users’ devices using edge computing, rather than on centralized servers or in the cloud. When a transaction occurs, encrypted data is transmitted in real time directly to a company’s on-premises servers. In addition, blockchain technology is used to transparently record data access histories and consent records, preventing tampering and enabling decentralized data governance.
Through its white-label service, enterprises can integrate the MyData solution SDK into their own applications, allowing them to collect user behavior and preference data directly and deliver hyper-personalized services such as customized content and product recommendations.
By collecting and analyzing non-identifiable data, companies can also conduct targeted marketing while remaining compliant with regulations on privacy. Notably, my:D employs on-device MyData storage and analytics technology that does not store data on servers. By applying local differential privacy (LDP) technology, personal data stored on smartphones is converted into anonymized statistical data, enabling the generation of highly reliable insights without collecting persona data. Through my:D Connect, enterprises can purchase and analyze anonymized user data and register tailored advertisements for specific user segments.
Pursuing Global Expansion on the Back of a Strong Track Record
Personal AI has established an extensive record of awards and project execution, including an Excellence Award at the Personal Data Anonymization Technology Contest, a Grand Prize at the MyData Acting Hackathon, the Korea Startup Grand Prize at the Security Awards, the New Software Product Award, a Tourism Venture Excellence Award, and a Tourism Global Encouragement Award, and has led or participated in projects such as the expansion of the Gyeonggi-do MyData platform, cross-industry MyData transfer initiatives, AI training data construction, and research and guideline development for MyData self-transfer.
The company is currently preparing to enter the U.S. and Japanese markets and is working to implement MyData-based AI agents as part of its business strategy. It also plans to launch a wearable healthcare management platform for employees and the general public to deliver integrated welfare and health management services.
