A person was rescued from River Liffey in the early hours of this morning.
The Dublin Fire Brigade was alerted to the incident at O’Connell Bridge. Firefighters and paramedics from Tara Street and Phibsborough rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised earlier this morning.
DFB deployed a rescue boat, and the person was taken to safety. A DFB spokesperson said on X: “Firefighter/Paramedics from Tara Street and Phibsborough responded to reports of a person in the water at O’Connell Bridge earlier this morning.
“Our rescue boat was deployed, and the person was taken to safety.”
