I’ve been testing two new fifth generation object finder s from Pebblebee , Clip 5 and Card 5 . They can both alert you when you’ve left something behind, help you locate a misplaced item by playing an alert, and provide its last-known location on a map.

An admirable feat of engineering, the lightweight Card 5 has wireless Qi charging that makes it a most compelling object tracking option that can be stored safely in wallets, bags, cases or any item you want to be able to find easily if misplaced or stolen. The card is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. Like its predecessor, the new tracker works with either Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find Hub – whichever is your preference. The same compatibility is also available on the colourful new Clip 5 which I have been testing in emerald storm. It’s also available in purple and graphite and the firm promises limited edition colour drops throughout 2026. It is even lighter than Card 5, weighing just 10g. Clip 5 is designed to securely clip on to pet collars, keyrings, handbags and backpacks without the need for additional accessories and the new model boasts louder alerts and brighter LEDs for anyone who might have trouble hearing an audible alarm. It is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance. The Pebblebee trackers can both be paired with the firm’s companion app for access to extra finding features. You can also use Clip 5 and Card 5 to locate your misplaced smartphone by double pressing a button on them to sound an alert on your handset. The 130dB alert is loud enough to hear from the next room. Battery life is excellent. The firm said Clip 5 can last for 12 months on a single charge and Card 5 should only need recharging once every 18 months. The rechargeability of these new devices means that both are more sustainable and thus better for the environment. And it also means no more awkward moments when your object finder’s replaceable battery dies unexpectedly.
