Authorities ordered the music stopped, lights turned on, and patrons separated by gender for drug tests and ID checks. The inspection found no underage individuals present, but two patrons tested positive for drug use, indicated by purple urine tests. They were detained for documentation and referred to a rehabilitation program.
Pattaya police and Banglamung officials vowed to continue random inspections of entertainment venues to comply with government policies aimed at eradicating drug-related activities in Thailand.
Authorities also issued a stern warning to venue operators: any establishment found with drugs or allowing underage entry risks being reported to the Chonburi Governor for a potential five-year closure as part of the ongoing No Drugs, No Dealers campaign as we reported here.
