Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Thursday slammed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on the RSS and said “politics cannot be done through ChatGPT” and requires “study, understanding, and grassroots connection”.Pathak accused the SP of having “no connection with education or intellectual politics. He said Akhilesh Yadav engages only in “cut-and-paste politics.” He said the people of Uttar Pradesh have now rejected divisive politics based on religion and caste. “Akhilesh Yadav should stop trying to divide the nation in the name of religion and caste,” Pathak said.Highlighting the state’s improved law and order, Pathak said, “Today, daughters and women in Uttar Pradesh are safe — this is the result of the Yogi Adityanath govt’s firm governance. The entire nation is talking about UP’s strong law-and-order system.” He added that during the SP govt “politics in the state was communalized but people have now seen through their agenda.”On Akhilesh’s opposition to SIR, Pathak said the SP’s protest reflects its attempt to “shield infiltrators” and prevent a transparent voter list. “The SP wants to win elections through the votes of infiltrators. The EC has taken measures to ensure only genuine voters participate, but SP and Congress want votes from those who have no right to vote,” he said.Questioning Akhilesh’s silence on radical groups, Pathak asked about his stand on organizations like PFI and SIMI. Asking the SP chief to learn from history, Pathak said, “Akhilesh Yadav should read the history of India. Since its inception, the RSS has worked to spread nationalism and today stands as the world’s largest voluntary organization symbolizing patriotism.”Pathak accused the SP govt of withdrawing cases against terrorists involved in the Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Lucknow bomb blasts, claiming that the party “has always spoken the language of terrorists for political gain.””People of Uttar Pradesh now understand everything. Time will come when the public will hold them accountable,” Pathak concluded.
