Bombay High Court stays Vidnyan Mane from making remarks against Palaash Muchhla after Rs 11 crore defamation case filing.
Palaash Muchhal has denied all accusations and has filed a defamation case seeking Rs 11 crore in damages against Vidnyan Mane. Now, the Bombay High Court has imposed a stay on Mane from making any further remarks against Muchhal following serious allegations. The court granted interim relief to Palaash after he filed the case, directing Vidnyan Mane to immediately cease making or publishing any similar statements that could harm Palaash’s reputation.
This order comes in response to a series of serious public allegations made by Vidnyan Mane through media interviews and social media platforms. Palaash Muchhal has denied these claims and has taken legal action to protect his reputation.
According to Palaash’s lawyer, Shreyansh R Mithare, the Bombay High Court has officially restrained Vidnyan Mane from making any statements regarding Palaash. They emphasise that such remarks could cause irreparable damage. The lawyer described the court’s decision as a positive development in their case. The next hearing is scheduled for March 11.
Vidnyan Mane accused Palaash of cheating him out of Rs 40 lakh and alleged infidelity involving Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. As reported by PTI, Mane had approached police in Sangli district, Maharashtra, claiming to have been cheated. In his complaint, Mane stated that he and Palaash met in December 2023. During this, Mane expressed interest in co-producing Palaash’s film Nazaria. By March 2025, Mane claimed to have given Rs 40 lakh for the project. However, when the film remained incomplete, he requested a refund, but he received no response.
Furthermore, Mane accused Palaash of cheating on Smriti Mandhana during the wedding festivities. He alleged that he was physically assaulted by Indian women cricketers over the matter. In response, Palaash took to Instagram, announcing that he was pursuing legal action against Mane. He filed a Rs 10 crore defamation suit and issued a legal notice. It condemned Mane’s allegations as false, outrageous, and highly defamatory. It only aimed at damaging his reputation and character, as claimed by the composer.
