Islamabad / UNI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Pakistan (FIA) arrested journalist Mohin Baig on Wednesday after having made a raid on his house in Islamabad.
According to the International News, the FIA Wing Cyber-Wing (CCW) made a descent into the journalist’s house with the police and placed it in police custody.
Baig, who appeared in television talk shows as an analyst, had criticized government policies.
Mohin Baiq is blamed for having launched a debate on a television program with obscene references to Prime Minister Imran Khan and a minister, according to Ary News.
Geo News quoted Baig’s son saying that the officials of the FIA in civilians came to the house and arrested his father.
The FIA “faced the resistance” during the raid and “dragged” the journalist at the van, reported the international news.
Mohhin Baig’s son was injured in the raid, the media reported, adding that the police wanted to arrest the journalist for resisting the FIA.
This is the second arrest made by law enforcement organizations during last week for anti-government comments, the international news reported.
The FIA arrested a social media activist on Monday to “run trends against the Prime Minister” on social networks.
