UNTOLD Creators by Visa, the mentorship platform in Romania dedicated to the next generation of music and festival industry professionals, has wrapped up its second edition with over 6,000 young applicants and more than 80 hours of applied mentorship. From DJing and live mixing sessions with guests like Goldcher DJ, to music production sessions with Marius Moga and AG Swifty, and workshops on event management, storytelling, and personal branding, the program offers an alternative form of education for professions that aren’t formally taught anywhere, yet shape the future of the creative industries.
Launched in 2024 and co-created by UNTOLD and Visa, the program addresses a real need in Romania’s music and entertainment ecosystem: the lack of a structured educational framework for emerging roles like DJ, music producer, event planner, or digital content creator for festivals.
Hands-on mentorship, real-life challenges and a prize on the UNTOLD mainstage
The 2025 edition was structured around four pillars – The Artist (DJ), The Producer, The Digital Prodigy and The Event Planner – each with 20 participants selected from over 6,000 applications. Participants went through intensive workshops, tackled real briefs from the UNTOLD ecosystem, and participated in public voting and professional juries.
Throughout the program, the participants worked closely with mentors like Goldcher, George Hora, AG Swifty, Marius Moga, Ana Filip, Andrei Nebunoiu, and Mădălina Dorobanțu. They received feedback from some of Romania’s top production houses and developed real projects for the UNTOLD ecosystem – some of which will be implemented in future editions of the festival.
This edition’s stakes were as tangible as they come: he finalist DJs – BELLE, GOME, ASHPOT, PAVLO VICCI and NOMAD – performed live on July 15 at the program’s official closing party, where GOME was selected by public vote to perform on the UNTOLD 2025 mainstage. Additionally, the winners for each track were announced during the event, and all 80 participants will enjoy a full VIP experience at UNTOLD 2025, including backstage access and real networking opportunities within the industry.
“Creators shape the digital culture and the economy, and Visa is here to support their transition from inspiration to monetization. With the UNTOLD Creators by Visa program, we offer not just funding and mentorship, but real industry connections and a framework where their ideas can come to life,” said Aura Toma, Head of Marketing Visa for Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia.
Beyond the direct experience offered in the program, UNTOLD Creators by Visa provides long-term visibility. All participants will be included in a publicly available talent pool, organized by discipline, which will be promoted across the industry to further support the professional journeys of graduates. The platform is committed to maintaining relationships with its alumni and to recommending them within the UNTOLD ecosystem’s network of collaborators, suppliers, and partners – and beyond.
“UNTOLD Creators by Visa is proof that sometimes all talent needs is an open door. It’s a program created for young people who feel they have something to say. Those who joined didn’t just receive advice – they faced real challenges: briefs, deadlines, work contexts, and direct feedback from professionals. What we’ve seen in this edition confirms that we’re on the right track: great ideas, genuine energy, and projects with real potential. For us, it’s not just a mentorship exercise, but a space where potential gains direction and a real chance – a concrete step toward a career in the festival industry.” says Flavia Gherman, Head of Partnership at UNTOLD Universe.
