Dyah (pronounced Dee-yah) is a Senior Author at Collider, responsible for both writing and transcription duties. She joined the website in 2022 as a Resource Writer before stepping into her current role in April 2023. As a Senior Author, she writes Features and Lists covering TV, music, and movies, making her a true Jill of all trades. In addition to her writing, Dyah also serves as an interview transcriber, primarily for events such as San Diego Comic-Con, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Sundance Film Festival.

Dyah graduated from Satya Wacana Christian University in October 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, concentrating on Creative Writing. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in English Literature Studies, with a thesis on intersectionality in postcolonial-feminist studies in Asian literary works, and is expected to graduate in 2026.

Born and raised between Indonesia and Singapore, Dyah is no stranger to different cultures. She now resides in the small town of Kendal with her husband and four cats, where she spends her free time cooking or cycling.

A new year means a fresh roster of television to look forward to. While 2026 will bring back fan favorites like The Pitt and Outer Banks, viewers searching for their next bingeworthy obsession have plenty of exciting new options ahead.

From a reboot of a beloved early-2000s medical comedy to a highly anticipated Game of Thrones installment, plus a brand-new adventure in the Star Trek universe, the upcoming slate offers something for everyone. As the hype is already building, these series are poised to make waves. Without further ado, here are our most anticipated shows of 2026, ranked.

10 ‘Ponies’

Set in Moscow in 1977, Ponies centers on two American embassy secretaries who are largely ignored and labeled “PONIES,” or persons of no interest. Everything changes when their husbands are killed under suspicious circumstances in the USSR, pulling the women into the world of CIA espionage. Emilia Clarke stars as Bea, a highly educated, Russian-speaking daughter of Soviet immigrants.

Bea’s not working alone. She’s paired with Twila (Haley Lu Richardson), a tough, outspoken small-town woman with no fear of confrontation. As unlikely partners, they dig into a major Cold War conspiracy connected to their personal losses. Ponies is created by Susanna Fogel — best known for co-writing Booksmart and directing The Spy Who Dumped Me — and David Iserson.

9 ‘Steal’

It’s not another day in Steal. The fast-paced modern thriller follows an ordinary worker in a corporate setting thrown into an unbelievable situation. Zara (Sophie Turner) is just going through her day at pension fund firm Lochmill Capital when a group of armed criminals storms the office. She and her work bestie Luke (Archie Madekwe) are forced to go along with the thieves’ demands.

Everyone is left wondering who would steal billions from regular people’s pensions. On the other side of the story is DCI Rhys (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), the detective trying to crack the case while dealing with a gambling relapse and serious money problems of his own. As he digs deeper, this simple heist reveals itself to be a far bigger and more dangerous conspiracy.

8 ‘His & Hers’

Mr. & Mrs. Smith gets even more complicated in His & Hers. In a quiet town north of Georgia, the community is shocked and distraught by the murder. With no leads and no incriminating evidence, everyone’s a suspect. Journalist Anna Andrews (Tessa Thompson) and Detective Jack Harper (Jon Bernthal) are both searching for the truth, but the case quickly becomes personal.

As Anna pushes to cover the story, it’s clear she has her own connection to the victim and believes there’s more beneath the surface. As luck would have it, Anna and Jack happen to be estranged spouses, placing them on opposite sides of the investigation. With their credibility and innocence at stake, it’s a race against the clock to discover what really happened.

7 ‘Strip Law’

It’s a different kind of jackpot in Strip Law. Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, including unprofessional and unethical work ethics. Lincoln Gumb (Adam Scott) is an uptight lawyer who can’t seem to find his ground in a traditional courtroom. After losing case after case, he partners with Sheila Flambé (Janelle James), hoping to have Lady Luck on his side for once.

It’s one thing that his newfound partner doesn’t have a lawyer background. Flambé’s a flashy magician and an unapologetic hedonist. Together, they tackle the Strip’s most ridiculous cases with some pizzazz and a lot of legal loopholes. A celebration of mischief and humor, Strip Law takes playing by the book to a whole new level.

6 ‘Scrubs’

Premiering in 2001, the original Scrubs follows the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital, focusing on young doctors and best friends J.D. (Zach Braff) and Turk (Donald Faison). Also in the 2001 series is Elliot Reid, J.D.’s on-again, off-again love interest (Sarah Chalke); head nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes); sarcastic mentor Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley); gruff chief Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins); and the mysterious Janitor (Neil Flynn).

Much of the show’s sitcom humor comes from J.D.’s observations, daydreams, and imaginative fantasies. Now, fifteen years after the series ended, Scrubs is returning to ABC with a reboot. Creator Bill Lawrence reunites with stars Braff, Faison, Chalke, Reyes, and McGinley. Set to premiere midseason in 2026, the revival revisits these characters as older, more experienced doctors adjusting to modern medicine.

5 ‘Rooster’

Rooster is a college-set comedy starring Steve Carell as Greg Russo, a well-known novelist whose life takes an unexpected turn during a visit to a university for a book reading. What starts as a short stop quickly pulls him into the messy, funny world of academia, where he’s forced to rethink who he is and where he’s headed.

At the heart of the series is his complicated relationship with his daughter, a college professor played by Charly Clive, who’s dealing with struggles of her own. Created by Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence, the cast also includes Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, Lauren Tsai, and John C. McGinley.

4 ‘Wonder Man’

Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is a struggling Hollywood actor just trying to catch a break when he crosses paths with Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), a former star whose best days seem long gone. But when a famous director announces a reboot of the superhero movie Wonder Man, both actors put on their best smiles and chase roles that could change their lives.

In the original comics, Simon is the son of powerful businessman Sanford Williams, whose rivalry with Stark Industries leads to Simon’s downfall. After being transformed by Baron Zemo, Simon gains ion-based powers and becomes Wonder Man. However, the upcoming Wonder Man also promises a fun, behind-the-scenes look at how the entertainment industry really works — a cheeky commentary on how movies are made today.

3 ‘Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials’

Set in England in 1925, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials begins at a glamorous country house party where a harmless prank takes a deadly turn. When murder strikes, the mystery falls to an unexpected detective: the curious and quick-witted Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce). As she digs deeper, Bundle discovers conspiracies that will change her life forever.

Starring Mia McKenna-Bruce as the titular Bundle, she is assisted by Lady Caterham (Helena Bonham Carter) and Superintendent Battle (Martin Freeman) as they get to the bottom of their country house case. Timeless and invigorating, every fingerprint, paper, or speck of dust brings about new evidence, pulling in the mystery altogether like a spider-web.

2 ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’

It’s a new chapter in the universe. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy follows a new class of cadets coming together to chase a shared dream built on hope, curiosity, and optimism. As they train under demanding instructors, the students juggle growing friendships, rivalries, first romances, and mounting pressure — especially as a dangerous new threat begins to endanger both the Academy and the Federation.

Set in the 32nd century, Starfleet Academy is set after the galaxy was torn apart by the Burn and the Federation began rebuilding. With Starfleet Academy reopening after years of closure, cadets from any background, including humans, Klingons, holograms, and political heirs, learn what it truly takes to become Starfleet officers.

1 ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’

Set nearly a century before Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows the travels of two unlikely companions across Westeros: Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey), a well-meaning but inexperienced knight, and his sharp young squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). During a time when the Targaryens still rule the Iron Throne and the memory of dragons remains fresh, it’s a chapter unlike anything the show has seen before.

Unlike the sprawling conflicts of earlier series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms offers a more personal look at Westeros, focusing on friendship, honor, and growing political tensions. The next installment in the GoT universe is led by George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker.
