A gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s prospects for victory in the 2026 governorship election, should he become the party’s candidate.
Following a meeting with the party chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, and his executives, as well as local government chairmen in Osogbo yesterday, Falobi stated that he has taken all necessary steps to position himself favorably within the party.
Speaking to reporters at the APC secretariat along Ibadan Road, Osogbo, Falobi expressed optimism not only about the gubernatorial race but also about the party’s chances in the 2027 presidential election. “I am very positive that in Osun and in Nigeria, we will win. APC will win. I have no doubt about it,” he asserted.
He explained that his consultations with party stakeholders were aimed at demonstrating his preparedness and readiness to leverage his experience for the benefit of the party, emphasizing the goal of securing a substantial victory in both the state and for the presidency. “We aim for a landslide victory in 2027,” he said.
Falobi noted that his strategy differs from others within the party, but it is designed with a clear purpose. “We will continue to engage for the best of our party, the best of the state, and the best of our leaders,” he stated.
He also highlighted the positive impacts of federal government policies, assuring that conditions will continue to improve. “It’s important to recognize how well President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed in just two years. The results will soon become evident,” he remarked, referencing expectations that food prices will decrease in the near future.
Falobi’s confidence reflects a broader belief within the APC about the party’s readiness to reclaim governance in Osun and solidify its position nationally in the upcoming elections.
