
SIBUR Produces Test Batch at First Hexene Facility in Russia and CIS
THE Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity and 78 Local Government Units (LGUs) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on Friday, August 22, to further strengthen the implementation of the “Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan” (Pamana) Program.
Under the MOA, the Pamana Program will fund 138 peace and development projects nationwide, amounting to P3.7 billion for Fiscal Year 2025.
The partnership aims to ensure that peace and development projects continue to be carried out in conflict-affected and vulnerable communities nationwide, reinforcing the government’s commitment to more inclusive development.
Pamana is a flagship convergence program of the national government that focuses on peace-building, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and development of isolated, conflict-affected, and conflict-vulnerable communities.
Pamana projects in Ayungon have a total project of P85 million. These projects include the Junction Mabinay-Ayungon (Phase 1) from Brgy. Mabato to Brgy. Carol-an that cost P50 million; national roads with slips, slope collapse and landslide-tertiary roads on the Mabinay-Ayungon Road amounting to P30 million; and flood mitigation structures along the Mabinay-Ayungon Road costing P5 million.

Pamana road projects in Agusan del Norte include a farm-to-market road with a bridge (Phase 1) in Brgy. Lower Olave, Buenavista, amounting to P85 million; the Balang-Balang-San Antonio-Kaunlaran farm-to-market road (Phase 1) in RTR, amounting to P70 million; the Kaunlaran-Masundong-Sumubay farm-to-market road (Phase 1) in RTR and Cabadbaran City, amounting to P92 million; and the Mahaba-Belwang farm-to-market road (Phase 1) in Cabadbaran City, amounting to P70 million.
During his keynote message, Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. highlighted that the Pamana program is a symbol of the individuals and institutions that build bridges — both literally and figuratively — between communities, histories, and hopes.

He assured that all PAMANA projects will undergo strict monitoring and transparent reporting using accountability mechanisms in partnership with LGUs.
