Ondo Global Markets has now expanded to one of the world’s most popular blockchain networks, BNB Chain, Ondo Finance announced on Oct. 29.
Launched by Ondo Finance and the Ondo Foundation, Ondo Global Markets is a tokenization platform built to provide on-chain exposure to publicly traded securities.
Tokenization is the process of representing assets like stocks, funds, etc. as digital tokens and offering fractional ownership of these assets to prospective investors.
Besides digitizing the traditional finance market, it enables 24/7 on-chain trading and makes assets more affordable due to fractional offerings. Ondo Global Markets offers non-U.S. investors exposure to U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The collaboration brings more than 100 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs to BNB Chain’s ecosystem of 3.4 million daily active users. Ondo is the first tokenization platform to bring tokenized stocks and ETFs to BNB Chain at scale.
Ondo Finance founder and CEO Nathan Allman said,

Ondo Global Markets, already live on Ethereum, is now integrated with BNB Chain’s extensive ecosystem of wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols.

Earlier, there was no way that non-U.S. investors could access American financial products but tokenization makes it a reality by providing on-chain U.S. stock and ETF offerings globally. The rising popularity of Ondo Global Markets only highlights an unsatiable appetite across the globe for U.S. markets.
