The Office of the Bougainville Electoral Commissioner (OBEC) unveiled a dedicated election website today to streamline voter information ahead of the 2025 Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) General Elections.
The portal, abgelections2025.com, will serve as OBEC’s primary platform for electoral updates, offering resources for candidates, scrutineers, and voters.
Key features include polling procedures, voting guides, downloadable awareness materials, and the provisional election schedule.
Bougainville Electoral Commissioner Desmond Tsianai emphasised the initiative’s role in safeguarding election credibility.
“Trusted information is the foundation of a credible election. This platform ensures voters are informed and empowered,” he stated.
OBEC urged the public, media, and civil society to regularly visit the site and share its resources widely.
The page will be updated continuously with press releases, fact sheets, and official announcements.
