The NRL have announced this year’s NRLW Community Team of the Year, highlighting players who have gone above and beyond off the field to help make change and create brighter days.
The members of the 2025 team were initially nominated by their NRLW clubs after displaying outstanding contributions in their communities and are all also nominees for the Veronica White Medal – Woman of the Year presented by Westpac award.
The award acknowledges the outstanding work many players do to help uplift others, be it through their involvement in charity work, youth development or community support.
The Team of the Year members (excluding the overall winner) score $1000 for their Junior Rugby League Club, while the overall winner takes home a total of $2000 for their Junior Rugby League Club and $2000 for their selected charity.
Once again, the NRL are calling for you to vote and have your say on who you think should be an automatic finalist for the Veronica White Medal.
The 2025 Veronica White Medal – Woman of the Year presented by Westpac, recognises the genuine contributions an NRLW player has made not only on the field, but their positive impact in their local community.
The winner of the fan vote will come away with an extra $1000 to give back to their junior rugby league club and a charity, as well as becoming an automatic finalist for the Veronica White Medal – Woman of the Year.
Proud Wakaid woman from Badu Island, Kimberley Hunt was announced as last year’s Veronica White Medal winner, thanks to her exceptional dedication to community service, particularly in supporting the local Indigenous community.
Hunt, who played for the Dragons in 2024, was a key driver of the ‘Healthy Deadly Kids’ program and other initiatives with the local Aboriginal Medical Service, promoting healthy lifestyle choices in Indigenous youth.
The 2025 Veronica White Medal finalists will be announced on September 15, with the winner of the medal to be revealed at the Dally M Awards on October 1.
Voting for the Veronica White Medal opens on Monday, August 18 and is open until Tuesday, August 26 at 5pm.
