TOLEDO, Ohio — The Department of Parks and Youth Services has announced a new opportunity for residents to enjoy the water at Cullen Park, kayaking.
Kayak rentals will be available for those 13 and up with pricing ranging between $20 and $25 per rental. In order to rent, users must download the Rent Fun Mobile app and create an account. To unlock kayaks, users will scan the QR code at the rental station. The cost to rent will also cover lockers, maintenance, paddles and life jackets. A new life jacket station will also be at the park to provide extra safety.
To return the equipment, users will simply take a photo of the kayak placed in the locker using the app.
There will be an ‘Intro to Kayaking’ event on Saturday from 3-4:30 p.m. at the park on North Summit Street. The free event will offer instructions and celebrate the new lockers. To learn more about the event, click here.
