The event named Rock Paper Scissors begins on Thursday, June 19, at OneTwoThree, a new creative space on St James’s Street.

Open Thursdays to Sundays from noon until 4pm, the free exhibition will run until July 6.

Visitors can enjoy workshops and activities for all ages, in OneTwoThree and across the town centre.

The exhibition offers a light-hearted perspective on Burnley’s sense of pride in its townscape.

People can participate in constructing paper buildings and share their thoughts and hopes for Burnley’s future.

Rock Paper Scissors also presents a chance to learn about a new project, High Five for Heritage.

Led by Burnley Council, this initiative focuses on engaging the community with Burnley’s civic history and heritage.

The project highlights central Burnley’s Mechanics Theatre, Central Library, and the Co-operative Buildings.

These landmarks will be at the heart of a five-year project, if the Council’s Delivery Phase Application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund is successful.

Starting in spring 2026, High Five for Heritage aims to conserve and protect some of Burnley’s most well-known buildings.

It also plans to transform outdoor public spaces for cultural activities and wellbeing.

The exhibition is a result of collaboration between Burnley Cultural Consortium’s independent creative partners and the council.
