The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 was recently spied at dealerships, increasing anticipation among consumers for an updated version of the motorcycle. Ending that, Bajaj Auto has launched the latest version of the Pulsar 150 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the higher variants Pulsar 150 SD UG and TD (twin disc) UG come at Rs. 1.12 lakh and at Rs. 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Bajaj Pulsar is one of the older models in the brand’s arsenal and the one that brings in good sales numbers for the automaker. To refresh its appeal for consumers, the automaker has given it a small aesthetic upgrade. Meanwhile, the mechanical elements of the motorcycle remain unchanged.

To begin with, the Pulsar 150 maintains its classic, muscular look in terms of design. A key highlight is the updated LED headlight setup, accompanied by LED turn signals. Bajaj seems to have attempted to modernize the motorcycle while preserving its familiar shape. The fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, split seat design, alloy wheels, and exhaust style remain consistent.
In terms of mechanics, the Pulsar 150 remains the same. It seeks power from the same 149.5 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates approximately 13.8 bhp and 13.4 Nm, paired with a 5-speed transmission. Recent reports suggest that the brand is working on the next generation of the Pulsar, which will likely come with a new powertrain.

The engine fits into a double cradle frame that is supported by telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged rear shocks. Stopping power is provided by a 260 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc at the back for the higher-spec Twin Disc models. The Single Disc variant includes a 130 mm drum brake at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tires.
With the 2024 update, the Pulsar 150 received a new digital instrument cluster, similar to those found on the Pulsar N150 and N160. This cluster displays all crucial riding information, including gear position, real-time fuel efficiency, average fuel consumption, distance to empty, and a digital clock. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity through the Bajaj Ride Connect app, allowing for call and notification alerts.
