The news won’t stop in Coldstream because it’s undeliverable.
The District of Coldstream is making sure everyone has access to the latest news, updates, and community information as the district newsletter is available at several local establishments in the community.
Delivery of the district newsletter by mail is currently unavailable after a ban on the delivery of neighbourhood mail was announced Monday, Sept. 15.
The ban, according to Canada Post, applies to unaddressed direct mail (neighbourhood mail) only. Addressed items (personalized mail, postal code targeting mail and transactional mail) and parcels will not be affected.
The following businesses are helping out, with the district’s gratitude, in distributing the community newsletter:
* Coldstream Market (9912 Kalamalka Rd.);
* Canco Lavington Market (6320 Highway 6);
* Canco Gas One Stop Convenience (6015 Highway 6);
* Back to Earth (6326 Highway 6);
* Rail Trail Café & Market (13904 Kalamalka Rd.);
* Sun Country Cycle (16500 Kalamalka Rd.);
* Friesen’s Countrytyme Garden (9172 Kalamalka Rd.).
Additionally, the newsletter can be picked up at the Coldstream Community Hall, the district Municipal Office, or can be accessed online.
“We also extend a big thank you to our local schools – Lavington, Coldstream, and Kidston elementary schools will be distributing the newsletter to its students this week, while Kalamalka Secondary School students and parents are welcome to pick up a newsletter at their school office,” said the district.
“We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support as we work through this temporary change.”
