The latest rankings of cryptocurrency projects by weekly active users reveal shifting dynamics in blockchain adoption.
Near Protocol (NEAR) claimed the top spot with 16 million active users, marking an impressive 18.4% increase from the previous week. Solana (SOL) followed with 14.8 million users despite an 18.8% drop, while BNB Chain (BNB) secured third place with 14.5 million users, down 9.2%.
The data, measured by unique active wallet addresses, highlights how user engagement fluctuates across the sector. While some networks struggled to maintain momentum, others posted eye-catching gains that could indicate growing interest and activity.
Among the standout performers, Aptos (APT) surged 30.9% in weekly activity, reaching 4.2 million users, while Ethereum (ETH) saw a robust 25.6% rise to 2.9 million users. Bitcoin (BTC) posted modest growth of 1.7%, maintaining 3.1 million active wallets.
On the downside, Uniswap (UNI) experienced a steep 36.1% decline, with Jito (JTO) recording the sharpest drop at 44.5%.
The increases in Ethereum and Aptos stand out, especially as both networks have recently expanded their ecosystems with new integrations and scaling upgrades. Analysts note that sustained growth in active addresses often precedes higher transaction volumes, potentially hinting at bullish sentiment ahead.
