Anchored with NCCA-SD’s commitment to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Bangsamoro people, the project also advances the ongoing effort to inscribe the “Collection of Records of Past Conflict Resolutions and Peace Efforts in Mindanao” into the Unesco Memory of the World Registry.
At the heart of this project is Mindasalang, a theatrical production by Don Pagusara and staged by the Kaliwat Theatre Collective, which delves into historical struggles and aspirations of Mindanao’s tri-people — the Lumad, Moro, and Christian settlers — through a powerful fusion of history and performance.
The program also featured a Peace Education Forum led by NCCA-SCD Commissioner Carlo Ebeo, Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM-Marawi) Senior Consultant Almhadi Alonto and activist-artist Mae Paner, who served as the forum’s moderator.
