Nalwa, Billawaria call upon BJP cadre to strength party at grassroots level

JAMMU, July 1: BJP Minority Morcha, J&K, president, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa and ex-Deputy Mayor Baldev Billawaria today called upon BJP cadre to work hard to take to people’s doorsteps the development policies of the PM Modi-led Government at the Centre and strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Addressing a meeting of the BJP Minority Morcha here, both the leaders strongly condemned the Omar-led Government for making Urdu compulsory for the exam of naib-tehsildars, saying that ‘it shows how discriminatory is the Government towards the educated unemployed youth of Jammu, majority of whom don’t have any knowledge of Urdu language’.

Billawaria, who was also the chief guest during the function said, “All the party units need to work collectively to make the party stronger.”

“Even the previous NC regimes have discriminated against the Jammu region youth,” Nalwa said, adding that Urdu shouldn’t be mandatory in naib-tehsildar’s exam.

“The NC Government policies have never been pro-people,” he said.

Nalwa also praised the party cadres for their dedication shown during various programmes launched by the party and hoped that they would continue their work with the same zeal in future too.

“J&K had witnessed tremendous development post Article 370 abrogation. Stone-pelting vanished overnight, terrorism graph has come down and Kashmir is on the path of prosperity,” he added.

Referring to the April 22 massacre of 25 Hindu tourists and a local at Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam, Nalwa said, “It was executed by the Pak-sponsored terrorists because the neighbouring country ‘doesn’t want people of Kashmir to be prosperous. Pakistan also does not want peace to take roots in the valley.”

The meeting was attended by all the units of minority morcha in Jammu region.
