Kunickaa Sadanand’s son, Ayaan Lall, defends her in fight against Tanya Mittal, says his mother is being targeted.
A massive drama unfolded in the Bigg Boss 19 house recently when Kunickaa Sadanand attacked Tanya Mittal during the nomination task. The veteran actress not only questioned Mittal’s upbringing but also added, ‘Tumhari mummy ne nahi sikhaya’, leaving the spiritual influencer in tears. As the housemates turned against Kunickaa and condemned her comments, her son, Ayaan Lall, has now come out to support his mother.
In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Ayaan opened up about the incident and said, “We come from a very different place than Tanya does. Apparently, her garden is as big as the whole house. She said, ‘I live in a 25,000 square feet house’. She comes from Gwalior. On the other hand, Mumbai is an expensive place. We live in a 1500 square feet house. The worlds that we come from are very different. And the experiences that my mother comes from are even more different. She has always had to be alone. She has always had to do everything on her own. She had to be a father and a mother. Tanya has her own set of problems. I’m not saying her journey is not important just because my mother’s journey is highlighted right now. Tanya’s journey is as important as anyone else’s. But then, you put two worlds together – there will be conflict, there will be fire. You need to understand where she is coming from. You can’t just see it from one perspective and be like, ‘Oh, it was wrong’.”
Explaining what his mother meant, Ayaan added, “What my mom meant was ‘I didn’t have the money to have a maid. Cooking is a life skill. Of course, if you don’t know how to cook, it’s not a bad thing. If you know how to cook, that’s also not a bad thing’. But you need to see that two different worlds are colliding, and this is a house; things will get dirty.”
Ayaan further defended his mother and seemingly took a dig at Tanya Mittal. “Tanya has told us that she doesn’t know how to open a fridge door. She has told us that she has an elevator in the kitchen. She has also told us that her mother never taught her how to peel onions or cucumbers. We understand that and it is not wrong. If you don’t know how to open a fridge door, fine, learn it. If somebody’s teaching you, don’t complain about it. But if you are saying these things, my mother was just reiterating it to her – her own words,” he told us.
While Ayaan stood by his mother, Bigg Boss 19 contestants had another point of argument – when Kunickaa does not want anybody to drag her sons during their fights, why did she mention Tanya’s mother during the argument? Asked about the same, Ayaan, who also appeared on the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, claimed that his mother is now being targeted on the show.
“Just because I went on stage and I saw my mother and I got emotional because I saw my mother, you cannot play that card. A lot of the show is left. You cannot make this comment based on that one incident. This connection wouldn’t have been made if I had not gone on stage, correct? But because I went on stage, this connection has been amplified, which is okay, which is fair. That is the truth. But yes, she is being targeted for that. She will stand her ground and she is not going to back down in any way,” he said.
Ayaan stressed that her mother was not the first contestant to drag somebody’s family in the show. “Several contestants have talked about others’ families in this season. I don’t want to name anybody. You also know that several contestants have made such comments. Everybody has been saying it. Her family was also dragged into it and I think she handled it in a very good manner,” he concluded.
