We still have at least a few more weeks of freezing temperatures to contend with, which means plenty more evenings spent trying to stay warm without racking up a hefty heating bill. Just like with your clothes, layering is the perfect way to keep the chill out, and a cosy, thick blanket should help you stay warm whether you’re on the sofa, in bed or at your desk.
One that’s been receiving rave reviews from shoppers is Marks and Spencer’s Bubble Faux Fur Throw, which comes in four colours and two different sizes: medium single or large double. Priced between £59 and £69, it boasts a luxuriously soft and plush design that’s perfect for snuggling under on the sofa.

The four colours available are chocolate brown, grey, cream and natural, meaning the Bubble Faux Fur Throw should complement all home interiors, and the bubble-style texture creates a subtle checkered effect for some added interest. Its sizing is ideal for draping over a bed or sofa, and the faux fur covers both sides so you’ll stay cosy regardless of which way you wrap it around yourself.
The Bubble Faux Fur Throw has proved enormously popular with M&S shoppers, who’ve given it a solid five-star rating. One customer said: “This is the best throw I have ever had, it’s very warm, quality is exceptional, colour is perfect. I bought the white which is more of a cream colour, it’s wonderfully soft and after buying the Sherpa type throws in the past that are great at first then they just matt together and look nasty, there are no negatives whatsoever for this one.”
Another added: “So soft! Beautiful cream/beige colourway. Looks and feels luxurious.”
Whilst a third agreed: “The photos don’t do this throw justice, it’s plump, so fluffy and looks really luxurious, I’ve now bought three!”
Some did have a couple of counterpoints to make about the Bubble Faux Fur Throw, with one saying: “Very comfy and cozy! The material is excellent. The only minor is that I have a king size bed and the large size only fits into double beds.”
And another wrote: “Excellent quality and we purchased the larger size to fit on a double bed. The only thing is the prices is a little expensive.”
Some other great alternatives include this StaySnug Bubble Faux Fur Heated Throw which you can buy from Lakeland for £59.99. It has a similar faux fur bubble-style design to the M&S one, but has the added bonus of nine different heat settings to help provide that extra warmth.
If you want something that’s a little more budget-friendly, then Dunelm’s Catherine Lansfield Cuddly Deep Pile Throw is great at just £19. Coming in a range of colours including neutrals and bolder shades like lilac and blue, it’s 150cm x 200cm, making it a decent size for getting cosy under, reports the Mirror..
