Man in custody after overnight Oakland SWAT situation

Pittsburgh police reported that a man who barricaded himself overnight inside an Oakland home was out of the home and in police custody at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Monday, officers from Zone 4 responded to the 3200 block of Juliet Street regarding an individual with outstanding warrants, which escalated into a barricaded suspect situation, the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety said.

The identity of the suspect was not immediately made public, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.

SWAT and the Drone Unit were on scene, Pittsburgh police said.

Shots fired in Brookline causes damage to 1 vehicle

Multiple shots were fired Saturday night in Pittsburgh’s Brookline neighborhood — causing damage to a vehicle.

Police were dispatched at 10:30 p.m. to the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard following reports of shots fired in the area, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.

Officers said they found a vehicle on the scene with bullet damage.

No injuries were reported, and detectives are investigating.

Connellsville police request help amid multiple car break-ins

Connellsville Police said they responded to “a number of calls throughout the west side” for vehicles that were broken into overnight from Saturday into Sunday.

One of the vehicles was stolen, police said.

Now, Connellsville police are requesting surveillance footage from the public via a Facebook post that anyone has that “they believe might be helpful.”

Police said they believe the actor was walking throughout the neighborhood.

Anyone who has surveillance footage they believe might helpful should contact Corporal Garlick at (724) 628-2501, ext. 153, police said.
