
Approximately 200 people from four communities in the city of Cumaná, Sucre state, received training in various productive areas, as part of the regional government’s policies to boost entrepreneurship in the state.
The information was provided by Jenny Arenas, president of the Sucre State Social Programs Integration Unit (Unipso Fuses), who explained that the training courses were held in the communities of El Tacal, Los Bordones, La Montañita, and El Tacal II in the Sucre capital.
The official explained that through training and capacity building programs, the goal is to provide the population with the necessary tools and knowledge regarding the various productive areas, an action she affirmed will allow them to strengthen the local and family economy in the region.
She emphasized that on this occasion, the participants received training in making traditional sweets, baking, hairdressing, and sewing from the team of specialists, who she assured remain deployed in various communities in the region with training workshops.
Arena explained that the courses are carried out in coordination with community structures, following prior planning.
He indicated that the workshops are also aimed at staff from the various institutions affiliated with the Regional Executive Branch in order to continue promoting entrepreneurship and guaranteeing additional income for each household.
“Through these workshops, we guarantee that they will expand their knowledge, giving them the opportunity to earn another income. These activities are part of the initiatives carried out by the Bolivarian Government to strengthen the family and local economy,” the official stated.
