MOORE – Katherine, (late of Highfield Court, Rathgar) – Feb 16, 2025. On Katherines first anniversary, we, Nicholas, Ann, Peter, Mary Pat and Frances, along with her nieces and nephews, would like to express our deep gratitude to extended family, friends and colleagues for their kindness and support to Katherine throughout her illness, and to us in the aftermath of her death.
Katherine received outstanding professional care in the Mater Private Hospital. We thank especially all the staff Katherine befriended in the Oncology Day Ward and in St Elizabeths Ward, under the expertise of Dr Sarah Picardo and Dr Liam OSíoráin.
Thank you also to the doctors and nurses at Ranelagh Medical Centre, at Terenure Health Centre, the pharmacists and staff of the KCR Allcare Pharmacy and to Jinu and the Community Specialist Palliative Care team from Our Ladys Hospice and Care Services in Harolds Cross.
Thank you to Fr. Bob Kelly, who welcomed Katherines remains to Terenure College Chapel, celebrated her funeral Mass and accompanied us to her final resting place and to Evelyn and Amy for their inspirational music.
Thank you to Tommy DArcy and the team from Fanagans Funeral Directors, Rathfarnham, for their exceptional service in looking after us all on Katherine’s final journey.
We would like to thank most sincerely all those who attended the removal and funeral Mass and to those who offered their condolences, sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy and messages of comfort.
Katherine loved engaging with her wider community, in work and in play.
We acknowledge her work colleagues and friends from the Irish Girl Guides, especially the leaders and children from the Zion Ladybirds, Rathgar, from Andersen Consulting, the ACCA, members of Castlewarden Golf Club, of Templeogue Tennis Club, of the Special Olympics movement and many other organisations.
We learned through them just how much Katherine was respected, valued and cared for by so many people.
The magnificent support given to us by family and friends continues to sustain us as we learn to live without our dear sister and aunt.
Mass for Katherines first anniversary will be celebrated on Sunday, February 22, at 9.30am in Terenure College Chapel.
