From tax reductions and wage increases to support for border regions and remote islands, the government presents a comprehensive plan to boost citizens’ income while the opposition remains without alternatives.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis outlined the government’s measures to support Greek incomes, sending a clear message: New Democracy is the only party capable of steering the country through turbulent times.
He highlighted the tax cuts effective from January 1, which will directly benefit 4.3 million taxpayers, boosting wages and pensions in practice.
According to government figures, each new measure represents a 5-7% increase in real income for average workers and pensioners, while young people under 25 earning up to €20,000 will permanently pay no income tax.
Mitsotakis also criticized the opposition: “The problem with the political scene is not the number of parties but the absence of real proposals,” he said. He stressed that the so-called “patriotic measures” of opposition parties do not translate into tangible benefits for citizens.
According to Mitsotakis, ND is the party of the many, the youth, and families:
“We redirect the dividends of growth and tackling tax evasion straight into citizens’ pockets,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Mitsotakis also highlighted key foreign policy successes:
Greece remains strong and committed to defending its national interests amid international challenges.
The Prime Minister reiterated that elections will take place in spring 2027, emphasizing continued reformist policies, transparency, and accountability while addressing bureaucracy and state inefficiencies.
“When we put our work to the test of the people, we can say that we said it and we did it. ND is the only force capable of holding the wheel in these difficult times,” he concluded, urging all party members to support consistent, realistic government policies.
