Interim Progressive Conservative Leader Glen Savoie hammered Premier Susan Holt for a summer of what he described as “missing” cabinet ministers, with one of his fellow caucus members comparing the premier to magician David Copperfield and his famous Statue of Liberty disappearing act.
“This is a government that said they were going to be radically transparent,” Savoie said during question period.
“They’ve been so transparent to the traditional media they’ve been invisible.”
Savoie’s focus centered on the province’s education minister, who hasn’t been made available for interviews with Brunswick News and other media outlets in recent times.
Savoie asked the minister directly why she refused to speak to the media during the summer.
