Harry Potter actress Miriam Margolyes has revealed how long she would like to live.
The actress, who grew up in Oxford, starred in several Harry Potter movies as Professor Sprout.
Known for her work across film, television, and stage, she received the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Mrs Mingott in Martin Scorsese’s 1993 film, The Age of Innocence.

The 84-year-old, who this year appeared in Miriam Margolyes Discovers New Zealand on BBC, has been giving interviews to support her new book, The Little Book of Miriam.
It’s out on September 11, published by John Murray, price £16.99.

In an interview with The Observer magazine, Ms Margolyes, when asked how long she would like to live for, replied: “As long as I wasn’t doubly incontinent I’d like to live forever.”
When asked if she really wanted to live forever, she replied: “Yes, because I want to know what happens.”
She is delighted that she has sold so many books, adding: “It turns out I do have a genuine humility, bordering on incredulity that anybody would want to know about my life.”
The actress has recently moved into the basement of her London house and has taken in two lodgers.
She has plans after 57 years to finally move in with her partner Heather, in Tuscany, with a couple who will care for them.
She added: “The world around us has lost its charm. And we just want each other in a beautiful place we know.
“We can toddle along and laugh and just quietly subsume into old age. But together.”
She also told The Observer she was not a fan of Botox.
“When you kiss someone, you don’t want ‘filler’, she said.
“You want the mouth. You want the subtle yield of skin that belongs to someone you love or desire.”
