Strategy’s Michael Saylor hinted at yet another Bitcoin buy this August, which would make it the third buy this month. Strategy bought $BTC two more times in August, 155 coins on the 11th and 430 on the 18th, for a total investment of $69M.
Saylor didn’t specifically announce that the company will buy more Bitcoin, but hinted at it on X in his usual suggestive manner, with the message ‘Bitcoin is on Sale.’
Strategy’s move was somewhat predictable given that $BTC dipped below $112K, which is a buy signal for opportunistic investors like Saylor.
Another buy would create momentum for Bitcoin and bring more eyes on its Layer-2 upgrade, Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER), which is nearing $12M.
Strategy is going all in on Bitcoin and the numbers explain why. According to Saylor himself, $MSTR has outperformed every asset class since adopting the Bitcoin standard.
It then makes sense how Strategy got to meet all the S&P 500 criteria in 2025, according to Bitcoin Archive.
A fall listing would rock the market with $10B in inflows and trigger a prolonged Bitcoin rally. Interestingly enough, this wouldn’t come from Strategy’s direct Bitcoin purchases, because Strategy buys through OTC trades and private agreements.

Long-term, the situation is different, as Strategy participates actively in increasing Bitcoin’s scarcity, which will destabilize the offer/demand ratio.
In this context, predictions like Tom Lee’s $1M Bitcoin ‘in the next couple of years’ seem quite level-headed. Especially in the climate created by Trump’s GENIUS Act, which is now pushing for a post-October implementation.
This could trigger the long-awaited alt season, creating the perfect conditions for a Bitcoin Hyper rally.
