MANILA, Philippines — Strong intermittent rain flooded roads in Metro Manila, with some impassable to vehicles, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Monday.
Knee-deep flooding was reported at G. Araneta Avenue (Amoranto and Florentino to Maria Clara), as well as at Victory Avenue near the G. Araneta Aurora intersection in Quezon City. These areas were not passable to light vehicles.
Meanwhile, gutter-deep flooding was observed at EDSA Aurora Tunnel and EDSA Muñoz, both northbound, but these roads remain passable to all types of vehicles.
Other affected areas, including Sto. Domingo corner Sgt. Emilio and Sgt. Rivera corner A. Bonifacio, also in Quezon City, had gutter-deep floods.
The MMDA advised motorists to avoid impassable roads, take alternate routes, and stay updated through real-time traffic and weather advisories for updates.
