
Police are investigating after two men wielding a weapon broke into a Coventry home. Thieves targeted a property in Cheylesmore in the early evening on Tuesday (18 October).
The hammer-wielding culprits took belongings from within, including car keys, before using them to escape in a car on the property’s drive.
Officers have launched a probe into the incident. At this stage they are looking through video footage to try and learn more.

They’ve asked anyone with information that can assist officers to get in touch quoting the below log. Police can also be alerted anonymously.
“We’re investigating after a property on The Mount, Coventry, was broken into by two men armed with a hammer last night (18 November) around 7.30pm,” a West Midlands Police spokesman told Coventry Live.
“Items including car keys were stolen, before the offenders escaped in a car stolen from the driveway. Our investigation is at an early stage and we are reviewing CCTV from around the area.
