Melania Trump disclosed her genuine thoughts about Kate Middleton through a revealing five-word comment during the remarkable state visit.
Melania and her spouse Donald Trump enjoyed a two-day, three-night stay in Britain before heading back to America.
The President and First Lady received a warm welcome from King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle, where they were honoured guests at a state banquet.
President Trump subsequently journeyed to Chequers for discussions with Prime Minister Keir Starmer whilst Melania stayed at Windsor for joint activities with Camilla and Kate.
The First Lady was accompanied to the Frogmore House grounds for an outing with Princess Kate, where she took part in various activities alongside young Scouts, according to the Express, reports the Mirror.
It was during this occasion that Melania expressed her admiration for the future queen consort when one of the scouts asked if she would become the “next princess”.
Melania is said to have smiled and pointed towards Kate, saying: “She’s the only princess here.”
Donald Trump holds the distinction of being the first US president to receive two state visits to Britain.
His initial visit occurred in 2019 during his first presidency when Queen Elizabeth II was still living and Theresa May served as Prime Minister.
Mr Trump expressed his own feelings through an off-microphone comment that exposed his opinion of King Charles.
Throughout their visit, the Trumps joined a state banquet with senior Royal Family members at St George’s Hall. Before the speeches, Mr Trump, 79, was spotted having a chat with the King.
Lip-reader Jeremy Freeman suggests that a moment between the two, away from the microphones, revealed Trump’s admiration for the 76 year old monarch. The President was seen telling the King: “It’s so incredible, it’s what you do so well.”
In his banquet speech, Mr Trump expressed his gratitude for being welcomed back for a second state visit, describing it as the “highest honour” of his life.
The President also lauded the so-called “special relationship” between the United Kingdom and the United States, stating that the phrase “does not begin to do it justice”.
Upon his return to the USA, Mr Trump has been full of praise for the hospitality extended by the Royal Family and the UK during his visit.
Speaking to reporters in Washington DC, he referred to King Charles as “a wonderful guy.”
The President also mentioned that he had seen “more paintings than any human being has ever saw during his tour.
He added: “I got to know him (Charles) very well. I knew him before, but now I know him a little better. I knew Charles as a prince and now I know him as a king and he’s doing very well.
“They treated us great. They treated our country great. I view that as being really respect for our country, the way they did it, because last night was beautiful.”
Mr Trump went on to say that his wife Melania had a lovely time with the Duchess of Cambridge, describing Prince William’s wife as “a very wonderful person”.
