Reality TV star Maura Higgins has said she thought signing up to The Traitors would be a “piece of p***.”
The Longford native will make her debut on the US version of the show in January.
Maura opened up about what it was like filming the show, believing that it would be a “piece of p***” after her stint in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
But she said: “I actually do forget that I’ve done it like it feels so long ago, but it’s not that long ago.”
The 34-year-old described filming the show as “an experience”.
“I can’t obviously say much about it, but it was an experience. I kind of went in there thinking, ‘Yeah, this is probably going to be a piece of p***,’ like I’ve done the jungle.
“Nothing’s going to be harder than that. I had never watched a show, so I didn’t really understand the concept.”
Maura said the US Traitors was a “unique one”, but admitted she was “very glad” she signed up to it.
“Like, obviously I’d heard stuff before, but, yeah, it’s a unique one, I will say, and I’m very glad I’ve done it, but, yeah, I can’t say anything about it. It’s very hush hush. But what I will say, it’s going to be a very, very, very good season,” she added.
Back in January, the former Love Island star was confirmed to be part of the cast of the fourth series of the US version of the show
In an interview with The Playlist, the presenter previously teased that some of the scenes are “utter carnage”.
“In this new season, there is chaos again, once more. There is chaos and it’s brutal. It’s brutal. About halfway through, there is a scene in it that is the greatest moment in Traitors history.
“Honestly, I just cannot wait for the world to see it. It’s utter carnage and utter just mad. It’s just brilliant!”
