Lucknow: mastertrust, in association with the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), organized an Investor Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives in Lucknow. The session was conducted under the MCX Investor Service Fund (ISF) initiative and was aimed at enhancing investor awareness and educating participants about the evolving landscape of commodity trading, particularly in the metals and energy segments.
The programme witnessed the participation of High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), active investors, and market enthusiasts who were keen to understand how commodity markets function and how they can be leveraged as part of a diversified investment strategy. With increasing interest in commodities as an alternative investment class, the initiative reflected mastertrust’s commitment to strengthening financial literacy and enabling informed investment decisions in the region.
The session included expert presentations by Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer, Master Capital Services Ltd., and Mr. Nitin Sahu, Manager – Business Development, MCX. The speakers deliberated on key aspects of commodity derivatives, including market dynamics, price discovery mechanisms, risk management techniques, and regulatory safeguards. Participants were also educated on the role of MCX in providing a transparent and robust trading platform and the importance of using commodities as a strategic hedging tool.
The event helped participants gain a better understanding of how global developments influence commodity prices and how disciplined trading strategies and risk assessment can improve investment outcomes over the long term.
