A man was taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorbike. Merseyside Police were called to Fleet Lane in Parr at 5.55pm last night after reports of a crash involving a Skoda Octavia and a motorcycle.
One resident, who was in the St Helens area last night, asked: “What’s going on in Parr tonight? First there were loads of police on McCormack Avenue, now there is loads on Fleet Lane by the Morrisons Daily and the road is closed.”
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for assessment of a suspected hand injury. The driver of the car stopped at the scene to assist with enquiries. Damage was also caused to a separate parked vehicle. The road was re-opened at around 9.30am.
